Our Programs

Expanding Horizons. Empowering Futures. Strengthening Communities.

Mountain Ways is proud to lead Moonshot, an ambitious initiative designed to broaden opportunities for youth in the Appalachian region, beginning with students in Sevier and Cocke Counties. Moonshot provides young people with the experiences, connections, and confidence they need to envision a wider world of possibility and bring those skills back home to enrich their communities.

Through meaningful networking opportunities, leadership development, and cultural exposure, Moonshot equips students to grow personally, pursue postsecondary education, and build careers that strengthen the future of our region.

Hurricane Helene Impact Report

After Hurricane Helene caused widespread destruction across East Tennessee and Western North Carolina, Mountain Ways mobilized to support families and communities facing sudden loss. Built on a legacy of giving back after the 2016 wildfires, the organization partnered with donors nationwide to provide immediate relief and help lay the foundation for long-term recovery.

Mountain Ways is made possible by the family of Joe and Jessi Baker, Ole Smoky Distillery, Yee-Haw Brewing, Ober Mountain, and more.
